Norsvin Lietuva makes first export to Kaliningrad

In June Norsvin Lietuva made its first export of breeding stock to Kaliningrad in Russia. As a part of the substantial Russian expansion within pig production, Kaliningrad is also expected to grow its pig production within the next years. Norsvin Lietuva is therefore satisfied to have delivered this first out of several groups of pigs into the region. Genetiporc and Norsvin USA announce the signing of Genetic Material and Research and Development agreements for North American markets. The agreement allows Genetiporc preferential rights to create new products utilizing NORSVIN genetic material.

Tilstra Joins Norsvin USA

Norsvin USA has selected Darwin Tilstra as Genetic Improvement Manager, the liaison between geneticists in Norway and the Norsvin nucleus herd in South Dakota. Tilstra coordinates all aspects of nucleus production for Norsvin USA, including monthly semen importations from Norway, planning and execution of mating plans, and testing and selection programs.
