Dr. Holm returns to Norway after two years as Manager of Technology and Product Development for Norsvin USA LLC in Rochester, Minnesota.   “Norsvin’s recent experience with U.S. production and business models strengthens Norsvin as a leading and reliable industry partner.  The network we have established with U.S. producers, packers and industry in general positions Norsvin squarely on target to deliver healthy, efficient, productive and lean genetic progress globally.  Our goal is to draw resources together and strive for Best Practice solutions within Norsvin, simultaneously aligning with the best partners in multiple markets,” states Dr. Holm.    Norsvin, headquartered in Hamar, Norway, operates a highly effective platform for swine genetic improvement.  Extensive animal testing and intensive selection are based on Norway’s high health swine population.  In March 2008 Norsvin implemented computer tomography (CT) in the new boar testing facility near Hamar, Norway.  Norsvin CT scans 3,500 live boars annually, contributing the highest accuracy possible to Norsvin’s genetic improvement and selection.
