Albert Paszek joins the Norsvin USA Team

Dr. Albert Paszek joins the Norsvin organization as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Norsvin USA effective June 1st.

Paszek’s experience and knowledge in business and genetics complements the strengths of the current Norsvin team and supports the company’s commitment to value creation and capture by customers of Norsvin swine genetics.

Paszek has managed genetic research and business development at DEKALB Swine Breeders and Cargill, Inc., was a teacher and researcher at the University of Minnesota and recently managed broiler biotech R&D team at Cobb-Vantress, Inc.

Paszek has served on the Norsvin USA Board of Directors since the company was established in 2002.

Norsvin Set for Growth, Appoints New Chief Operating Officer

A new Norsvin Doctor

Maren Moe NorsvinNorsvin's Dr. Maren Moe successfully defended her doctoral theses this week. The last 4 years Dr. Moe has been working on a Norsvin project addressing the genetics behind boar taint.

Norsvin enters the Spanish and Portuguese markets

Selección Batallé, S.A. of Spain (Batallé) and Norsvin International AS of Norway (Norsvin) are pleased to announce the signing of a long term collaboration agreement between the parties where Norsvin will supply Batallé with NORSVIN® genetic material for production of gilts, boars and semen for the Spanish and Portuguese markets.

Breeding seminar with Lithuanian pig producers

Together with the Lithuanian Pig Producers Association (LPPA), Norsvin Lietuva arranged a seminar for pig producers the 23rd of October. The seminar was addressing the potentials found in modern pig breeding, and consequently its genetics. Jonas Zaltuaskas (Norsvin Lietuva) and Algis Baravykas (LPPA) had done a great job marketing the seminar, and all seats were taken by the time the seminar started. Knut Roland, Norsvin Genetic Support Manager Europe, and Darwin Tilstra, Norsvin USA Genetic Improvement Manager, attended the seminar.
